President Alvi attends historic Rawalpindi Test to celebrate England return

RAWALPINDI: President Arif Alvi witnessed the opening day play of the historic Rawalpindi Test on Thursday as it marked England’s Test side’s return to Pakistan after a gap of 17 years. 

Britain, who last played a Test match on Pakistani home soil back in 2005, has been playing its very first Test at Pindi Cricket Arena.

President Alvi commended this notable achievement for Pakistan cricket as he arrived at the arena to go to the principal day of the initial Test between the different sides. Pakistan Cricket Board Director Ramiz Raja invited the president on his appearance.
